2012 Delamotte Champagne Blanc de Blancs

2012 Brut - Blanc de Blancs: There is a distinct citrus quality to the yeasty and softly petrol- infused nose of apple and lemongrass. There is good volume to the delicious and borderline creamy medium weight flavors where the supporting mousse is almost foamy on the ever-so-mildly fruity yet dry finish. This could easily be drunk now with pleasure though there is enough development potential to warrant holding it for a few more years first. 91/2024+ .

94P+: Shortly to be released in magnum, Delamotte's 2012 Blanc de Blancs continues to perform very well, unwinding in the glass with scents of crisp orchard fruit, buttered toast, white flowers, fresh bread and orange oil. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's racy and concentrated, with an elegant mousse and a long, mineral finish. This is well worth seeking out.

Cooked apple and mineral with flint and graphite on the nose. Chalk and buttered brioche, too. Full body with great depth from the vintage. Fantastic length and depth. First released in 2020 and aging so well. Improving beautifully. From the six crus of the Cote de Blancs: Chouilly, Mesnil, Oger, Avize, Cramant and Oiry.

Umådelig ren og frisk champagne, hvor man finder indslag af citrus, pivfriske æbler toppet op med et strejf af grønne blade og gær. Smagen er bare snorlige med en vidunderlig intensitet i syren, der bider de helt rigtige steder i munden. Minder mig sgu lidt som en blanding mellem Salon og en ung Dom Perignon. Ushi, ushi - jeg er solgt!
